Curb Appeal
First, look at the outside of your home, also called your curb appeal. Examine the outside of your house from a street view. What jumps out at you? What great features seem waiting to be noticed?
Understanding this assists us in deciding what we can do to draw buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't inviting with touched up paint and colorful greenery we'll need to tackle those issues. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and increase your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Can buyers see themselves watching a movie in your living space, relaxing in your reading nook or getting work done in your home office? We want your home to welcome buyers and give them a sense of ease. I'll help you accomplish this by suggesting changes that highlight your home's features.
I'll help you put out of sight pieces that give the illusion of clutter. Table and counter tops should be neatly arranged. Kitschy sculptures, sentimental items, family photos, and kids' works of art should get stored away too. We'll simplify the decor of house. Ugly or dirty areas make your home feel unkempt and buyers have a more difficult time imagining themselves living there.
I'll look over each room of your home. I'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be removed, rooms that need new paint, rugs needing to be changed, fixtures that could use polishing, and any other improvement that can easily be made to positively influence the sale.
We'll ensure your home has mass appeal and that it's inviting, staying away from "loud" or "too-bright" colors on the walls and furniture. And if the house is empty, you can consider renting furniture. The goal is for your home to look lived in as opposed to vacated.

Setting the Stage
At every showing, we want to engage the buyer's senses. Brightness is important and we'll draw back curtains, and change light bulbs where needed to invite the buyer inside. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests tour your home and ensure a pleasing aroma circulates throughout your house. We'll add cozy-looking blankets, and throw pillows on your loveseat and bedding. Buyers should feel like your current place has the potential to be. |
